About this role
The Nurse Practitioner provides comprehensive care across the age span, educates patients and families, performs history and physicals, discusses treatment options, manages patient communications, assists in pre-op processes, provides patient education, identifies community resources, and supports ongoing duties as assigned. Requires approved NP/PA education, Louisiana NP/PA licensure, certification or eligibility as primary care NP or PA, BCLS; ACLS/NALS preferred; extensive knowledge in physical assessment, differential diagnosis, pathophysiology, pharmacology, and management of acute/chronic problems; twelve hours CE or in-service annually.
