Patient Access Representative II - Mount Ascutney

About this role

Responsible for duties in support of departmental efficiencies including scheduling, registration, patient pre-admission/admission, reception and discharge; obtain complete and accurate patient demographic information; employ compliant patient liability collection techniques; provide world-class customer service; complete full patient registration at date of service; scan PHI and file patient information packets; assist with scheduling diagnostic procedures; educate patients about financial liabilities; perform hospital cash reconciliation and secured payment entry; verify insurance, benefits, coverage & eligibility; obtain insurance authorizations and inpatient visit notification to payors; may assist with post-discharge care scheduling; capable of working in at least two Patient Access service areas including Emergency Department; secure medical necessity checks/verification; adherence to Conifer Standards of Care; high school diploma or GED; 0–1 year in customer service; 0–1 year administrative experience in medical facility/health insurance preferred; some college coursework preferred.
