About this role
Outpatient Services Coordinator (Medical Receptionist) responsible for coordinating scheduling of patients and procedures, referrals, prior authorizations and insurance paperwork, serving as communication center for the unit/clinic, entering orders and tests as needed, maintaining patient demographics and insurance information, collecting copays and handling referrals/pre-authorizations, generating reports and handling invoices/expense reports per leadership; requires high school diploma (preferred), medical office experience and knowledge of medical terminology, confidentiality/HIPAA and EHR systems.
