The brief
Clinical Data Specialist position coordinating Lakeside Medical Center and Lakeside Provider Practice Quality Performance Improvement activities, including data abstraction for Joint Commission, CMS Core Measures, NHSN, Leapfrog, and other regulatory quality databases; data collection/analysis/communication of changes in definitions and requirements; coordination of data reporting to the Director of Quality and Patient Safety; supports data submission to external regulatory agencies; maintains and prepares OPPE/FPPE documentation; collaborates with quality, safety, infection control, credentialing, and medical staff; requires knowledge of hospital policies, infection control, and emergency codes; requires Associate’s Degree (preferred) and 5+ years of relevant experience; strong computer skills (MS Office), data abstraction, performance improvement, and communication skills.
