The brief

Therapist leads collaboration among an interdisciplinary team to develop, coordinate, and facilitate direct social services interventions for patients and their support systems, utilizing evidence-based therapies (CBT, DBT, family therapy) to aid stabilization and recovery in acute care settings (inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization, and/or intensive outpatient services). Responsibilities include conducting individual, group, and family therapy; assessing needs; developing treatment plans; providing counseling and support; educating patients; documenting progress; collaborating with internal/external professionals; adhering to ethical guidelines; continuing education; supervision of others as assigned; and performing other duties as needed. Education requirements include a Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field, with licensure (LPC/LMFT/LCSW or equivalent) in state practice; additional credentialing (SAC-IT, SAC, CSAC) may be required for certain programs.
