Position: Medical Assistant/Scribe at Phynetdermatology (Providence, Swansea, Cumberland, and Newport, RI). Department: Patient Care. Summary: Supports dermatology physicians by rooming patients, updating histories, documenting visit details, and assisting with procedures (biopsies, surgeries, skin treatments). Duties include patient history documentation, assisting with dermatologic and cosmetic procedures (ED&Cs, shave/punch biopsies, ILK, I&D, Botox, laser treatments, excisions), administering local anesthesia, suture removal, maintaining sterile technique, scribing, processing prescription refills and prior authorizations, logging pathology, coordinating with labs, operating UVB/photodynamic therapy units, and general inventory/supply management.
